So they made an app.
Spott is an Android app from Inochi Ventures that permits you to learn more about your favorite films and TV that was made within your personal backyard. Using your phone's GPS system, Spott allows users either to browse by movie/show or their location to understand interesting details of that movie, show, or actors.
For example, Stapleton International Airport (now Denver IA) was manchester international in the movie "Die Hard 2" with Bruce Willis. Up until recently, I had no idea that the hotel within the movie "Dumb and Dumber" were the Stanley Hotel, which has been also the inspiration and setting for Stephen King's popular book and movie, "The Shining".

There is also downsides, for example actor listings, which are meh at best, however, that's where the Spotters thing is available in. Too bad this app didn't come out before I moved.
As a film and TV fan who occurs love trivia, this is a pretty good app to have in the event you've got an Android phone. Definitely the highlight with this app would be to view a wide selection of locations of different film scenes, though I think a lot of people will be interested in where their hometown or current town factors in numerous movies and shows.
A disappointment is some areas miss, which can be annoying for users who know some movie or show was filmed of their neck with the woods. But to counter this, users can supply images and upload these phones Spott. This is actually a fantastic social interaction that gets fans involved as they proudly exhibit their cities and states.
